Hi Jonty, I think there are two correct answers in the following question about the passenger safety briefing?
https://app.screencast.com/iYRJLbgl94ImR
I had to pick the body position one (!), but the correct answer according to the test is the one about the life jackets.
However, looking at CASR Part 91 20.06, there is no mention of “body position” at all, while there jackets must be mentioned if carried on the airplane. From this, I thought the body answer is “more correct” than the jacket answer.
What do you think?

Hi Peter, You’re right—this is definitely a tricky “most correct” style of question. Let’s revisit CASR 91 MOS para 20.06 carefully:
Body position (brace position) is explicitly mentioned in the briefing items and required on all take-offs:
– (f) how and when to adopt the brace position;
Life jackets or rafts must be briefed only if they’re carried:
– (m) if life jackets or life rafts are carried—where the jackets or rafts are located, and how to use them;
Location of fire extinguishers isn’t mentioned at all in the passenger briefing requirements listed in the list.
The question asked: “Which of the following is NOT an item listed in the passenger safety briefing in all take-offs?”
Given that:
– “Body position” (brace) is always required.
– “Life jackets/rafts” are conditionally required if carried, making this partially correct but not strictly incorrect.
– “Location of fire extinguishers” is never listed or required at all, making it clearly the most correct answer.
Your confusion is entirely understandable—this question was incorrectly marked in our system as “Where the jackets or rafts are located,” causing confusion. I’ll update this question right away in our system to reflect the correct answer, which is actually:
✅ Location of fire extinguishers
Thanks for pointing this out!
