Hi All, just wondering how people manage to understand (and remember) what’s in each of the permitted materials for CPL Air Law (CLWA)? I’m finding that there’s often many references to one topic across the various materials (for example, ELTs) but don’t all say the same thing. Any tips, or is this subject just mass repetition?

Hi Lachlan, great question. The hardest part of CPL Air Law is often finding the info, not knowing it. CASA allows you to highlight, underline, and tab your permitted materials—so make the most of that. https://www.casa.gov.au/licences-and-certificates/pilots/pilot-and-flight-crew-exams/prepare-your-exam/materials-allowed-exams#Markingandtagging
Know your AIP, CASRs and CAOs inside and out, and practise navigating them fast. Many students create a simple index or summary sheet to help link related topics across docs for initial study.
Stick with it—it really does get easier the more you use the materials. -
Thanks Jonty. Fingers crossed repetition will be the secret to success.
