Is there a mistake here. It says 17-15=3 but it should be 2 when calculating the isa. Or did I miss something
-
17 - 15 is actually 2, not 3, so the answer is wrong. Other than that nice video.

Hi Jonty,
Have found this question about weight, the supporting statement suggests it should be CoG not centre of earth.
Regards
Wayne

Hi Wayne, absolutely – centre of gravity is correct. Will find and fix. Thank you! 😁👍

Hi,
I could be wrong, but I believe the answer to the attached question is incorrect.
This is a extract from Bob Tait web page as well. “If you read “low density altitude” replace that in your mind with “thick, more dense air” – and therefore better performance than in air with a …”
-
Hi Wayne, here is an extract from ATC’s BAK. I’ve also attached the summary of all the factors. I think the confusion here is the terms ‘low density altitude’ vs ‘high density’. The question does not refer to the density altitude, rather ‘high or low’ density of the air.

Quick question for anyone willing to help. for those of us who are mathematically challenged does anyone know of an app or short course where there is pilot/aviation specific math and I guess physics related practice questions? something like the Duolingo for language but related to the above?
Thanks Pat
-
Hey Pat, there is a new and free app that has hit the market recently – https://apps.apple.com/au/app/avmath/id6464602048
Also, ASA make a good book called “Mental Math for Pilots”
As for the physics, some of our Aerodynamics and Performance exams would be worth a try.
Hope this helps 😊
